Questions people usually have before they come in.
I'm new to this. Is it going to be too hard?
That's exactly why the free trial exists. Every workout is built to scale and coaches offer modifications for every movement so you can work at your level from day one. A lot of people who come to Empowerfit aren't longtime gym people.
What if I need modifications?
That's normal here. Coaches can adjust movements based on your body, fitness level, and comfort. Just let them know, they're paying attention.
I'm trans or nonbinary. Will I actually be safe here?
Yes. This isn't performative, it's part of how the studio is run. Empowerfit is woman-, queer-, and nonbinary-owned, pronouns are respected, staff is affirming, and you don't have to have your guard up when you walk in. Reach out before your first class if you'd like to connect ahead of time.
I'm in perimenopause or menopause. Is this gym right for me?
Absolutely. Meaghan specializes in exactly this stage of life and can speak to how training can be adapted for your body and goals. You're not an afterthought here.
I have an injury or health condition. Can I still participate?
In most cases, yes. Coaches are trained to modify for injuries and health considerations. Mention anything relevant when you sign up. For significant medical concerns, check with your provider first.
What should I bring?
Wear athletic clothes and shoes, and bring water. For flow classes, please bring a mat and blocks if you have them. Towels are available for all classes.
